Epona Natural Burial Ground
Following the moorland tradition of carrying the dead, Epona is primarily a walk to site.
It is a steep climb taking 20-40 minutes so we are hiring a minibus for those who would prefer not to walk. It wil leave Chagford main car park at 11.40am.
A couple of parking spaces are also available for those with specific needs. If you do require one of these spaces please consider offering a lift to others.
Please contact Jeremy on 07717 853967 if you would like to book a place on the bus or to reserve a parking space.
The opening ceremony will include a short story, some nibbles and a bit of a tipple. Afterwards you are welcome to wander round the burial ground so appropriate footwear is recommended.
Visit our web site at www.eponanaturalburial.co.uk for comprehensive directions and further information.

Volunteering opportunities at Chagfood
Chagford CSA is a seven-acre Organic market garden on the edge of the town that has been supplying fresh and seasonal veg-boxes to residents of Chagford and it’s neighbouring parishes since 2010. The farm hosts a weekly volunteer day every Thursday when local residents are welcome to come along and get involved in harvesting and packing the veg-boxes. The day offers activities suitable for all ages and abilities – and includes tea & cake at 11am and a shared lunch at 1pm. Volunteers are welcome to come for an hour or the whole day and don’t need to commit to attending regularly – in return they are welcome to take home a box of freshly harvested produce.
Please contact Ed on 07858 381539/chagfood@gmail.com for more details.

Andy’s Man Club
A new Men’s Mental Health Project for North Dartmoor and Okehampton area will be launching in the New Year. As well as raising awareness, the project will aim to fill the gap in local support services by launching an ‘Andy’s Man Club’ for North-East Dartmoor. Andy’s Man Club is a national initiative that has over 160 free weekly support groups across the country, providing a space for men where they can open up about the storms affecting their lives in a judgement-free and non-clinical environment. We are looking for volunteers in the area who want to make a difference and are able to commit to facilitating a new group in North-East Dartmoor. The role would come with support and training from Andy’s Man Club.
For more information about Andy’s Man Club check out their website: www.andysmanclub.co.uk. For those who are interested in getting involved, or want to find out more about the wider project, please contact torie@wellmoor.org.uk or call 01647 478378.
